Lisa Smit

In 2019 Lisa stars in the new feature film Baantjer: Het Begin, for which she received a Golden Calf nomination. For her role in All the Single ladies, Lisa is nominated as Best Actress at the Amsterdam Shortcutz Festival.

Lisa first came to the public’s attention at the age of 12 as the female lead in the children’s horror film De Griezelbus (2005). It became a hit at the box office and won several awards, also in the US and the UK.

After starring in the acclaimed youth series Willemspark (2007), Lisa played one of the lead roles in the psychological thriller TBS (2008), which won the prestigious Golden Film Award (for over 100.000 visitors) and the Best Feature at the Philadelphia International Film Festival.

Lisa returned to the big screen in 2010 as the female lead in the arthouse film Shocking Blue. That same year, Lisa played a supporting role in Lena (2011), by the acclaimed Flemish director Christophe van Rompaey, which had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2011.

In 2014 Lisa made her debut in an international production; she played the role of Laura in Die Quellen des Lebens, by German writer and director Oskar Roehler. That same year she also stars in the big film production Kenau, and the awarded series Max & Billy’s Drill Machine Girl. The last years Lisa has played leading roles in the TV series Project Orpheus and the feature film Redbad, by director Roel Reiné.

Starting 2020, Lisa is playing one of the lead roles in Hollands’ first Netflix Original Ares.
