Kim Karssen is theatre maker and actress. In her performances she touches great themes in an grotesque and playful way. With a predilection for stories and language she is on a continues search for the balance between a smile and a tear. Kim played multiple performances in Dutch theater companies as De Warme Winkel and since 2022 with Frascati Producties. In September 2022 her solo performance Schrödingers hond premiered. An absurdist show about the strength of our thoughts and how we, simultaneously, can escape to and be trapped in our own fantasy.
Also, Kim appeared with a little role in the movie Nr.10 (Alex van Warmerdam) and soon she will be starring in the new series from RundFunk.
Next to that Kim developed, together with Hendrik Kegels, a children’s performance Nietes at theater company Bronx. The two are nominated for the Gouden Krekel and the BNG Bank Theaterprijs 2023. Two important Dutch theater awards.
